The Demystifying Medicine Series, now in its 22nd year, is jointly sponsored by FAES and NIH, and includes presentations on pathology, diagnosis, and therapy in the context of major disease problems and current research.
Primarily directed toward Ph.D. students, clinicians and program managers, this series is designed to help bridge the gap between advances in biology and their application to major human diseases. Each session includes clinical and basic science components presented by NIH staff and invitees. All students, trainees, fellows, and staff are welcome to participate.

This seminar will be held in collaboration with UK Research and Innovation and will offer perspectives on diversity in team science-related data findings from the United States and the United Kingdom. The panelists will describe approaches to improve training, foster inclusive teamwork, and impact leadership in the scientific workforce and the outcomes of this work.

NIH FELLOWS AWARD FOR RESEARCH EXCELLENCE (FARE) COMPETITION
The competition is open and currently accepting applications.
- Deadline: Friday, March 15, by noon
- Scientists, clinicians, tenure-track and tenured scientists, and clinicians may register to participate as a judge of abstracts. Register online at http://www2.training.nih.gov/transfer/FAREJudgeRegistration

FARE recognizes outstanding scientific research by intramural NIH fellows and graduate students, and the winners receive a $1,500 travel award to be used for travel to a scientific meeting during the 2025 fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2025). Please check with your training director (the money from FARE comes from your IC, not centrally).
