New NIH Publishing Agreement & Manuscript Cover Sheet
Effective immediately, when finalizing a publication, please use the new NIH Publishing Agreement & Manuscript Cover Sheet.
The cover sheet was updated to include language concerning the revised NIH Public Access Policy, which mandates that accepted manuscripts submitted to PubMed Central will be made publicly available upon the official date of publication, without embargo.
New NIH-wide Strategic Plan for Autoimmune Disease Research
The Office of Autoimmune Disease Research will launch an NIH-wide Strategic Plan for Autoimmune Disease Research on July 21. To mark this event, a video will be released on July 21 at 1 p.m. featuring three speakers: NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya, Victoria Shanmugam, director of the Office of Autoimmune Disease Research; and Janine Clayton, associate director for research on Women’s Health and director of the Office of Research on Women’s Health.

Submit an Abstract to the 2025 NIH Research Festival
Answer the call for poster abstracts for the annual NIH Research Festival! The annual celebration of NIH intramural research will be held September 9–12 in Building 10 on the Bethesda campus.
The submission form is located here. The submission deadline is Friday, July 18.
Poster sessions will be held on the FAES Terrace in Building 10 on the first day of the festival, September 9, with sessions in the morning and afternoon.

2025 CCDI Symposium
The 2025 Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) Symposium: Collaborate. Innovate. Transform., hosted by NCI, will take place in Bethesda and online, October 6–7.
The CCDI Symposium brings together the childhood cancer community to learn about CCDI programs and resources intended to advance research and clinical care with the aim of fostering collaboration, innovation, and transformative strategies.
Attendees can expect to:
- Hear the latest on CCDI, our user-friendly platforms and tools, the Molecular Characterization Initiative (MCI) and its impact on clinical trials and new therapeutic target discovery, and NCI childhood cancer research programs.
- Understand how big data and real-world evidence in childhood cancer can support research to uncover insights and improve treatment outcomes.
- Learn about CCDI-funded data use projects, updates on Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certification of solid tumor methylation classifiers, and more.
- Meet principal investigators and young investigators and hear about their research in an informal and easy-to-understand format. If you are interested in presenting a poster, submit an abstract by 5 p.m. on August 7.
- Join industry pioneers and network with researchers, clinicians, advocates, and more.
The event is free and open to the public, though registration is required. Online registration will close on August 7. On-site registration will not be available.

NIH Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Festival
The annual NIH Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Festival, organized by the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) and the NIH Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Coordinating Committee (BSSR-CC), offers a broad view of NIH BSSR research projects, will take place in November.
