New SIG: Trans-NIH Health Disparities Research
The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities has established this interest group to focus on health disparities research that uses biomedical, behavioral, and social sciences approaches to advance the knowledge base and the translation of research to improve health. Co-chairs are William Coleman and Francisco Sy. New SIG: Neuromuscular Diseases
This SIG provides a forum for networking and collaborative discussions among the research and clinical communities interested in neuromuscular diseases. Organized by a trans-NIH steering committee from NIA, NIAMS, NIEHS, NINDS, and the CC, this SIG will meet on the second Wednesday of every month from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Lectures and discussions will reflect emerging scientific and clinical issues including challenging research methodologies, new technologies, interventions, treatments, and training.
