Scrutinizing Cellular Sabotage by a Villainous Virus

Viruses are sneaky little buggers, infiltrating our cells and tampering with their biological machinery to turn them into factories for viral molecules. Suzie Stephenson, a postdoctoral fellow in the Intramural Research Program at the National Institutes of Health, is investigating how a particular virus sabotages cells in the liver. Learning more about this process could lead to new treatments or even a cure for a potentially lethal disease.
