The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) invite you to a joint 75th anniversary symposium. The symposium is virtual, free, and open to the public.
The NHLBI’s 75th anniversary celebrates numerous achievements and collaborations in heart, blood, lung, and sleep research; millions of lives saved and improved; and the many scientific pioneers who have worked tirelessly to improve public health and to save lives.
In its 75 years of driving cutting-edge science, NIDCR has propelled research on topics such as the oral microbiome, pain, health disparities, oral cancer, tissue regeneration, craniofacial development and genetics, and the biology of saliva and the salivary gland.
This event will showcase NHLBI and NIDCR’s collective past successes. Attendees will learn about NHLBI and NIDCR's histories; notable accomplishments in heart, lung, blood, sleep, and oral health; and the science that unites the two Institutes.
