The Cooperative Human Tissue Network (CHTN), an NCI-supported resource to procure tissues for research created Technical Working Group (TWG) within its Informatics Subcommittee. It includes technical individuals from each of the CHTN divisions and its mission is to imrpove the informatics within the CHTN. The TWG meets during the CHTN face-to-face meetings, participates in all of the CHTN Informatics Subcommittee calls and more recently, participates in weekly conference calls. At this time, the TWG is working together to improve and enhance the existing CHTN investigator database. A listserve for the TWG would enhance the weekly communications of this group.
