The HHS HS Team is responsible to provide ESF#6 support to FEMA while providing SMEs and TAEs to assess human services needs and impact on human services programs; provide Technical Assistance to the State of Louisiana or its impacted areas on the delivery of HHS human services programs; assess congregate care facilities to ensure provision of human services and address special needs populations; assess integration of human services in disaster recovery centers and local assistance centers; provide expertise on human services related to housing; and provide technical assistance to case managers under the FEMA/HHS Case Management Pilot Project if activated.
