The Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Obesity Branch (DEOB) of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites applications for an Assistant Clinical Investigator from Licensed Dietitians with a PhD degree who are interested in patient oriented and translational research in the neuroscience of human nutrition. The position is intended for a credentialed registered dietician who has completed their training and is interested in developing an independent career in clinical research. The Assistant Clinical Investigator position in the NIH intramural program aims to facilitate the transition of those with clinical training to an independent position as a Tenure Track Investigator. The applicant should be a credentialed registered dietician with an extended period of prior research experience and scientific accomplishments as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications. The applicant is expected to develop an independent clinical/translational research program and commit a minimum of 20% time to direct patient-related activities. The position will be supported with independent resources commensurate with experience and programmatic needs. Please include in your CV a description of your mentoring and outreach activities, especially those involving women and persons from racial/ethnic and other groups that are underrepresented in biomedical research. The Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Obesity Branch of NIDDK is located on the main intramural campus of the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland.
